A Little Bit About Me
Having given it a go through my parents looking (the traditional way), I have realised that it's not the way for me and found myself here. I guess I'm hoping I could be missing out on someone that I might not otherwise have come across and who is my 'soulmate'. Yes, that old cliché...

I am serious about marriage and will, insh'Allah, involve my parents as soon as possible if the right person comes along. Contrary to other people's beliefs on this website, I 'see this as a DATING site but a MATRIMONIAL one. If you are looking for the former then move swiftly on.

Alhamdulillah, I've been blessed with a large family and it has made me a very family orientated person who would give up a lot if the situation called for it when it comes to them - the same would go for my husband. I adore kids and, one of the many things I do dua that Allah swt blesses me with in life, is healthy, righteous children.

I have a small circle of close friends and prefer it that way. Quiet at first but when I hit it off with someone, I will talk to them comfortably.. Though, I can usually tell if I can have a laugh and be myself with someone pretty quickly. I get told that I'm sarcastic and cheeky and would love to meet someone with a similar sense of humour as me! I like being immature as everyone still has that inner child in them but I know when to be serious. I would say I'm a very deep thinker - annoyingly so as you will come to find if you get to know me...

Enjoy increasing my knowledge of Islam and the world in general. Would love to explore the beautiful dunya Allah has made - it was made to be seen.

Oh, I LOVE food (maybe not the bland kind though). I can safely say that my life is a constant battle between my love of food and not wanting to get fat. First world problems?

What I Am Looking For

I could give you an endless list of the things I want you to have but most of those would just be a bonus - such as tall, dark and handsome. Truth is, when you meet someone you hit it off with, you tend to overlook certain things you initially thought were 'must haves'. I don't have an issue with a guy being a couple of years younger. Not sure why this is such a big issue in our culture. Guys, it really doesn't make you any less of a man if you have a wife slightly older than you, you know that right??

TIP: what I WILL say is if u rite lyk dis then you need NOT apply for the position of being my husband because I *might* strangle you.
Whilst I have to be somewhat attracted physically to a guy, communication is key. He has to have the ability to make me laugh everyday - sarcastic, witty humour is definitely attractive. I need to be able to hold an intelligent conversation and have a debate here and there. Basically someone who can make me think 'I never thought about it like that before'.

He has to support me as a husband in Islam should - the finance aspect isn't so important but I want the kind of guy who stands up for me when I'm right but who can also tell me when I'm wrong - lovingly of course! A humble character, and strong principles can make any guy attractive. I'm a typical girl in that I want someone who will spoil me and make me feel special every day. I don't mean lavish me with expensive gifts (although I'll never say no to that) but I promise i will appreciate the little things just as much. I look forward to cuddling up on the sofa resting my head on your chest and you playing with my hair until I fall asleep...That's my idea of a perfect night in. I think it's sooo important to keep a marriage alive by showing each other the same love and affection you did at the beginning. I don't want someone who is going to get bored of telling me I look beautiful a few months in, or to stop sending me random sweet messages when I'm at work telling me he's thinking of me... Am I asking for too much? I hope not...

Many times I've heard 'before you look for the perfect man, be the perfect woman'. I am not perfect in many ways, particularly when it comes to religion but it's one aspect about me that I desperately want to improve. Life is not guaranteed to anyone and whilst I do strive towards it daily, it would be nice to have someone to guide me and influence me along the way - to Jannah insh'Allah, as I don't just want a husband for this life. (sorry to burst your bubble but no escaping me in the hereafter if I can help it).

I don't have my pictures on public because it would be nice for someone to actually read my profile and see there is more to me than looks...I'm not saying looks are not important because attraction is a must but, if you don't even know how to strike a conversation with me then there is probably little or no hope of it going anywhere....

I admit my profile is akin to a book and I have been told it is a wee bit intimidating?? If that is how it comes across then it was not my intention! I'm just sure about the fact I want to get married unlike some of the oddballs I've come across and hope I find someone who wants the same...
